Although I like the SR-2 more than the SR-1, the SR-2's existence doesn't make much sense. While I'd like to find a way to add something the SR-2 in, it'd have to make sense. So for now, the SR-1 will be the only existent Normandy for the entire thing (not to say there won't be other stealth ships though. The success of the SR-1 when fighting Saren and Sovereign might make some people want to make more stealth ships) .

Since the Normandy SR-1 is a prototype, there could be a way for the Alliance and the Turians to just make the SR-2, after all a prototype isn't a finished "product", they'd probably mothball the SR-1 into the reserve fleet or have a complete overhaul (NCC-1701 Style). If the Geth and the Reapers are a real threat, it'd make sense they would upgrade, since the SR-1 would be probably out-dated after a year or so. Salvaged Geth tech is probably more advanced then the SR-1.
