Short RP focusing on the events of the Battle of the Citadel partially from civilian, military, C-sec, and other views.
Release Date: Maybe sometime next month.
What is this RP about, for, etc.?
I'm planning on this being a short term RP while we wait for the main Rewrite RP to go up. It's partially meant to keep people here interested and so that they actually get something from me that I'll probably work on a more regular basis. This RP is not canon to the actual Rewrite RP but we make take elements from it to use there. Also, feel free to use characters from this RP in the actual Rewrite RP as long it makes sense and I allow it.
Now what is the basic premise of this RP? This is intended to cover the Battle of the Citadel at the end of ME1 using current Rewrite lore. It will start off a little bit before the attack itself to get everyone situated. I plan on most of the PCs in around the same general area so we can have character interaction. After that, the attack itself will happen and it will cover the defense of the Citadel from a C-Sec, military, and civilian perspective. While I would like to run a Shepard side of the story the main I want to do is cover the PC group of defenders, civilians, etc. After the attack is over, we will do a bit of an aftermath and possible way to "jump start" a bit into the Rewrite. The RP will have the same basic canon outcome, but can vary a bit to fit the needs of an RP.
Throughout the entire attack, I will be playing my own characters and all major antagonists (the mainline Geth, Sovereign, Saren, and their forces). I plan on making posts from their perspectives to progress the attack and give the players an idea of where we are in the attack in comparison to what we experience in ME1. The Saren/Sovereign side will be done by myself unless I get players to interact with that side of the story. In that case, the outcome will be more player decided.
The Story so Far
The Citadel is massive space, 5 armed station in the Widow system of the Serpent Nebula. The station is virtually indestructible, let alone damageable. If needed, the arms of the station can be retracted inwards to help with defense, making it extremely hard for attackers to get inside. It also is a hub point for many Mass Relays, the main way of traveling long distances in the galaxy. Inside, the station is no joke either. It is quite accommodating to people coming in. The Citadel has also has a virtually endless supply of Keepers, a synthetic/organic bug like creature, to keep maintenance and keep things running on the station in the background. All this combined with the seemingly endless resources of the station, it serves as an attractive place for a center of galactic civilization.
One such civilization to use the station for this purpose was the Protheans, a rather mysterious race that went extinct over 50,000 years ago. No one knows how many other civilizations had used the Citadel before the Protheans, but the Protheans are the most relevant past user of the station to present time. Using the Citadel as a base, the Protheans built a successful civilization that spanned the Milky Way. They had no idea who made the Citadel, the Keepers, the Mass Relays (perhaps they thought it was their precursor civilization.), but they intended to take advantage of them. Eventually though, the Protheans would find out the answers to who made this gift.
The answer proved to be far more sinister than most could ever imagine. The Citadel, Keepers, Mass Relays, etc. where indeed made for a purpose; a heinous one at that. The Citadel, Keepers, and Mass Relays where made as a trap for an extremely ancient, advanced, sadistic, and genocidal race of synthetics called the Reapers. About every 50,000 years, the Reapers would launch a campaign of slow genocide against all sufficiently advanced non Reaper life, be they organic, synthetic, cyborg, hybrid, or other (if that exists in the Rewrite universe....). The Reapers had made the entire system to lure their prey
Character Roles and Creation
Beta Character Sheet, needs to be edited probably. (yes, this is sort of copied from the old Rewrite RP on TVT):
Name: Your character's name. Can be simple, a nickname, a codename, something. Required field.
Race: must be a valid race for the RP, which is practically all races. To list, valid races are: Turians, Humans, Asari, Salarians, Krogan, Quarians, Vorcha, Batarians, Yahg, Drell, Volus, Hanar, Elcor, and AIs (the AIs will need some discussing, but I'm allowing them). Required field.
Gender: if applicable. Some races like the Asari are all female and stuff like AIs technically have no gender. If you are an AI though, please give me a leaning of which gender you are if you think it's applicable. Transgender OCs are allowed. Required field.
Age: Optional field, but it's best if you give me an age range. If you want, birth date goes here. If you do give me an age, you need to give it to me in at least Earth years.
Physical description: A brief description of what your character looks like . Height and weight go here as well if you want. Optional field.
Skillset: What can your character do? Are you great at combat? Are you a biotic? Are you good with tech? Are you great at diplomacy or politics? Etc. Required field.
Occupation: What does your character do for a living? Optional field.
Personality: What is your character's personality? Required field, but doesn't need much if you don't want it to.
Homeworld/space station/ship: Where you born? Optional field.
Biography: A short or medium sized description of your character's history. Can be edited later, but you have to get my permission first and it can't contradict previous, current, or upcoming events. Please play nice with the rest of the player group. Required field.
Your plans for your character: What are your basic plans for this character in this RP? Required field and I want something here, but it doesn't have to be much. Also, you don't have have to follow everything you put here.
This thread should be updated as I go. Like always, feel free to add stuff, criticize things, give suggestions, make commentary, ask questions, and more.
