So if say I was Shepard, you'd play Tali or any other love interest. And then I romance her. You play the romance part?

Dude, I have no interest in personally having any of my characters be in a romantic relationship. The thing bores me to tears. So while I will be controlling Tali, I have no interest in any of my characters doing romance. Including her and Garrus. You want to get into relationship with someone else's character, fine. My characters or NPCs (which as the GM I control), no.

I'm not sure how much I'm going to be able to contribute to the RP, but I can pretty much tell you that I don't really have any plans for romantic relationships for any character(s) I might use or have created. I hate romantic plot tumors and have absolutely no experience in this field myself as of today, and because of that I'd rather have characters whom are inexplicably single than risk writing cringeworthy nonsense pretending to understand something I have no knowledge nor experience about, which would distract from what's really important.
I'd come up with explanations for any other character I contribute (if I ever do), but currently I imagine Juun'Reyan being the kind of person who'd be painfully oblivious to signs of affection and the like as a result of being somewhat self-centered and a little more focused on his job than he probably should be which would explain why he's not "interested" in anyone. At least, not in the crew. I originally planned for him to be the kind of person who wouldn't really be that judgmental about species (sapient of course), but considering how things have developed, he'd at best be close friends with anyone who's in the crew and not quarian should the thought ever cross his mind (which it probably won't since it'd frequently be distracted by repair requests and the like.)

As of now, I have plans for Tali to be under my control for the entire RP. Unless my attitude changes, Deadspear's only getting his Tali romance in fanfic. And, unlike my plans for the Rewrite proper, I am allowing romantic relationships between practically any races. Don't assume there won't be consequences for certain actions when doing that though (like sex between two incompatible races). |
