Due to request, I have been asked to provide a synopsis of what happened in the old RP before it died. I will do this request, which is done.
Pre RP Events:
After Saren's, Sovereign's, and their Geth's attack on the Citadel, many things happened. First, Commander Shepard, their crew, the Council, and several important officials had learned about a terrible threat to the galaxy - Reapers (no need to explain this one). Fortunately as we all know, Shepard and their crew where able to stop these monsters from returning. Still, the knowledge that the Reapers where just a Mass Relay jump away frightened many of the people who knew.
Secondly, with Sovereign and Saren's defeats, the Geth (what we call the Mainliners) seemed to have been dealt a major blow and they briefly seemed to be stopped. However, a few weeks later after the battle of the Citadel, confirmed reports of the Geth making a resurgence spread. Some believed it to be a holy war on their end. The Geth, angered by the loss of their god Sovereign and their prophet Saren, and denied the chance to have their gods return to bring genocide to the organic life they so despised, and also denied the chance to join their gods in a transcendence; launched several attacks on various targets, a prelude to the brutal campaign to come.
The attack on the Citadel also left a lot of chaos in its wake. Many important officials, military officers, and more lost their life in the attack. The Relay network being entirely shut down, the cut off from the Citadel, much of the Citadel defense fleet being lost, and more only added to the problems. The chaos makes it harder for Citadel space to run effectively.
If this wasn't enough, the attack on the Citadel and the ensuing chaos has given rise to several factions. Not all are bad, as some just want to get the truth out, help repair things, keep order, etc. Some are neutral. Of course, some factions are creating trouble. These troublesome factions might want power, settle some scores, cause even more chaos, get their ideology out, and/or more. Previously existing factions are making gains for power as well.
To combat all this and more, the Council has commissioned a special forces, black ops task force. The Council cannot hope to handle all the above issues and deal with more day to things, hence the creation of the task force. However, the Council still devotes considerable resources to it. The task force is black ops and as the whole (not individual members) has authority similar to Spectres. To lead this elite task force, the Council has commissioned Turian General Zytex Gyrandros (played by me, King Feraligatr) as the task force's de facto leader to recruit the best of the best into this group. While primarily militant in nature; the task force also allows civilians, politicians, business people, scientists, tech specialists, and more; in addition to the normal soldiers, mercenaries, engineers, officers, and more one would find in a military group. The task force is meant to be multiracial, multicultural, and more as the Council partly hopes this force will improve relationships between the various races of the galaxy. Sapient synthetic life has also been allowed to join as well, to the dismay of many. While the task force has the support of the Council and has its army when it needs it, it is up to the task force to be the vanguard against the Geth, Reapers, and so many other problems. They will have to fight battles, research, explore, do diplomacy, and more to accomplish these tasks.
The Council has asked Commander Samuel Shepard (played by Heroic Sociopath) and his old crew: Tali'Zorah, Garrus Vakarian, Kaidan Alenko, Liara T'Soni (all played by me until someone took one), and Urdnot Wrex; to join the task force. Wrex wasn't available, but all the rest of the crew was able to join. The Council hoped their knowledge and experience fighting the Reapers and Geth would come in handy. Plus, who wouldn't want the famous Savior of the Citadel Commander Shepard to join them?
Zytex was able to recruit many people from across the galaxy. He was able to get his best friend and old mentor, the Asari Fa'ana (Fana) Seleya (played by me). The friends served in the defense of the Citadel together and both know what is going on (the Reapers). Zytex was able to get access to all of Shepard's mission reports and was able to pass them on to his friends, including Fana. Official public stance on the Reapers is that they don't exist, but no effort is made to suppress those who know the truth. The Council knows doing so would cause raised suspicions and would be hypocritical and wasteful. Instead, those who know the truth are encouraged to keep about as silent about it as possible around those who don't know. The Council's official public stance was born of the desire to prevent an even greater panic and crisis than what is faced right now. They, however know the truth, and make little effort to deny it in private.
Other people Zytex was able to recruit include: the Hanar Odis (played by me), the Batarian Chevek (played by watdakstomp), the Vorcha Kahlief Sargin (played by watdakstomp), the Quarian Juun'Reyan nar Raezzor (played by PardoxiacalStratagem), and the Krogan Rait Vek (played by Renewal. This character never appeared in the RP proper as Renewal just vanished one day and never got back to me). The Turian gave everyone a pass to board the Citadel and summoned them all to visit for the first meeting of the task force in the Citadel Tower. They where all given another pass to get into the Tower as well for the meeting.
Actual RP Events
We start with Zytex going to the Citadel Tower to talk with officials and coordinate the task force's people. He also in charge with clearing incoming task force members and allowing them to dock. In the Tower, Zytex meets his friend Fana. Zytex has her go to a docking bay where Juun's group will be docking. Fana leaves and does what Zytex asks.
Meanwhile, Juun's group enters the Citadel's space and Juun asks for permission to dock. After some trouble, Zytex orders Citadel Control to allow the Quarians to dock. When Juun's group docks, the are met with some C-Sec officers. After a brief trouble that ends with Juun punched down and one of the officers in a biotic Stasis, Fana comes to pick Juun up. Juun and Fana leave and the remaining C-Sec officers search the Quarians' ships. Fana takes Juun in her car, they talk, and then arrive at the task force's living quarters. They clear Juun with Odis, are directed to Juun's room, and he is taken there. On the way, they meet Shepard and he joins the group on the way to Juun's quarters.
Meanwhile, Chevek and Kahlief also make it to the Citadel's space (in separate groups and ships). After both groups had some trouble, Zytex was able to get them safely boarded. Both Chevek and Kahlief where picked up by members of the task force and where taken to the task force's living quarters.
Cut back to Juun, Fana, and Shepard. The group got to Juun's quarters and started talking a bit. However, Fana had other things she needed to do and left. A little bit later, both Chevek and Odis where processed by Odis and stumbled into Juun's quarters. Garrus also went in to get processed and to potentially see his old friends and teammates. Chevek, Kahlief, and Garrus all arrived at Juun's quarters at separate times, with Garrus arriving first. They all greeted each other. Shepard however was too busy and did not respond.
Suddenly, Zytex got a call from Councilor Anderson saying that the Council wanted him in an on/off spy/informant role. It was more a notification than anything, as Anderson would be calling Shepard after this call. Anderson then contacted Shepard with the news. He packed his things, said goodbye to everyone, and left (the Normandy was still under his control, though Kaidan and Liara weren't) (the reason this thing even happened was because Heroic was too busy to keep playing Shepard. We reached a compromise with this idea and by making Shep an NPC until a another player took Shep.). Soon after Shepard left, Garrus got a call from Liara and Kaidan saying that they where on their way and that they got the news. Garrus, Juun, Chevek, and Kahlief continued to hang out on the meantime.
Elsewhere, Tali was on a ship with several other Quarians and some of Zytex's people that where recruited into the task force. After they got onto the the Citadel, the group Tali was in took transport to the task force's living quarters. Tali was able to get permission to contact her friends and thus did so. Garrus made the announcement and Juun, Chevek, and Kahlief started playing games.
Liara and Kaidan arrived at the living quarters and got processed. They contacted Garrus as to where he was at and got the location. When Kaidan and Liara arrived at Juun's quarters, they introduced themselves to Juun, Kahlief, and Chevek and said hello to Garrus. They talked a bit (this was as far as we could get before my ban).
