"OCs are being accepted for most of the RP. Also note that Quarian immune systems are staying at ME 1 levels in the RP (as in under controlled environments it's not a sick/death sentence and they don't have to in their suits all the time. So in the Quarian flotilla for instance, there will be Quarians with masks off and it's fine. Incomers still having to decontaminate properly and stay masked for a bit if they're a Quarian. All other races should stay in full body suits at most times.). Speaking as ME 2 and 3 never happen IRP, I get to keep them at the more reasonable ME 1 levels and not the comically bad BW ME 2 and 3 levels.
Also, a thing I noticed in the BW series is that Tali had the same markings on the decorative parts of her suit in all BW ME games. I'd like to extend this concept to all Quarians and I say they usually wear clan markings somewhere on their attire as decoration. You don't have to follow this though as it's only a tradition, not required.
Also, the flotilla would be having MUCH greater variety of ships, including small space stations, as according to the ME 1 Codex (the only official ME thing we're bound by here).
I'll still be expanding Quarian and other races' cultures later. "
"Tali, Wrex, and Garrus went their separate ways after Saren's defeat. Tali finished her Pilgrimage and is devoting some time to research how to stop the Geth. Garrus went back to the Citadel and his consulting his contacts to help out with the Geth and Reapers. Wrex left and there's rumors he wants to take over Clan Urdnot (I think this suits Wrex, so I kept it). Liara and Kaidan are still a part of Shep's crew."

"Talking in P Ms with Paradoxial Stratagem has given me an idea for a current situation and possible plot. It is as follows:
You know hope the mainline Geth are resurgent in the RP and are attacking places? Well, I was thinking that the Quarian flotilla may have heard of this and are trying to beef up security, keep more to themselves, trying to avoid the Geth, etc. to keep themselves from the Geth and any of their agents (yes, I plan on having the Geth having agents.). I also figure the mainline Geth would consider going after the Quarians (the ones who attacked them in the first place all those years ago) and destroying them a big secondary goal in their plans. This gives me ideas for a new plots the task force could go after, but I'm keeping that to myself for now.
Thank you Paradoxial.
Also, I have a nickname for the mainline Geth - Mainliners. This probably won't be used IRP until the task force learns about the other Geth factions"

"The (monomolecular) sword sounds okay as long as all it does is be a super cutter. I think I've seen the sword in ME 3 MP and shoots out things there. I don't know how ME 1 lore friendly a sword that shoots out things is. Of course, this is open to discussion. And don't expect to use that sword as much as you might be thinking. In an age with super powered guns and other weapons, using a sword in general combat seems akin to suicide. To compensate for the guns in ME 1 being mostly short to mid range designed, I'm buffing their long range accuracy. Shotguns for example can now hit in longer ranges. Let's call the guns' ranges in ME 1 a gameplay feature, not strictly how'd they'd actually operate. Also remember I will be allowing SMG class guns and that the guns still operate on an overheat system with effectively infinite ammo. Thermal clip weapons are planned to show up later, but they will not replace the overheat guns. Instead they will be hybrided with overheat guns later. The overheat system will rightfully be called the superior method over the thermal clip guns. Guns can operate in different firing modes IRP and do not have to follow ME 1's strict "this weapon type only fires in one firing mode". I am open to discussion about other weapon classes as well."

"[up]Since we're talking weapon concepts to introduce from ME2 and ME3, I just want to bring about some justification for them.
On melee weapons, they're viable because of shield technology. Shields are able to deflect high velocity projectiles like bullets, but still allow slower-moving objects through so that users of shield aren't functionally trapped in an impenetrable bubble. Thus, if you're sneaky enough or sufficiently protected, melee is viable—not all flashy like or as a main weapon, but a sidearm to easily penetrate shields for assassinations. Which is vaguely reflected in-game: only the bulkiest characters (krogan and vanguards with regenerating barriers) or the sneakiest (infiltrators with tactical cloaks) readily engage in melee.
The Sword Beam abilities were biotic and tech abilities, just discharged through the sword. The latter is a bit silly but not implausible since it's just a lot of electricity being thrown around, while the former is totally viable, since it's just an ordinary biotic attack guided by the sword.
On thermal clips, I think the hybridized system was originally the intended design for ME2. It's just that it proved to difficult to balance game-wise, so it was dropped. It's certainly not necessarily better, but it was designed as an emergency function to give extra firepower when needed.
Just my thoughts, anyway."

"I could see how a hybridized system could work, use either the overheating mode if thermal clips are expired or the other way around if the weapon's overheating for a few extra shots. (Most likely would be the former). I also have to wonder with that system if some weapons would have a feature where the user can simultaneously deplete the loaded thermal clip and overload the other system for extra firepower (Would probably be ideal for shotguns or sniper rifles)."

"In my Rewrite thread I linked, here's apparently what I had to say on the matter:
"Hybrid overheat/thermal clip guns later on in the games' events. Overheat is overall superior and is general use. Thermal clips are for when you need to get out tons of fire fast.
Thermal clips are actually universal and can't be vented early. Thermal clips might cooldown over time. Squadmates don't have infinite thermal clips and you to manage their clips."
So my intention was to have the overheat system be general use while thermal clips where to put down fire in the moment. I do like some of the ideas being thrown around though. I'll have to consider it.
And for melee, I heard ME 3 tried hard to focus on melee combat..... which it shouldn't have to the degree it did. I don't mind stuff like Krogan meleeing, Vanguard esque trained people getting close, etc. However, we're in an age of guns and of course they're going to be focusing on using that the most, not worrying about try to melee someone. Still, I see what you mean about barriers and it would be smart to carry a high powered melee weapon as backup or assassination. I just don't want everyone bum rushing the enemy with swords, axes, hammers, etc. That's ridiculous.
About the sword beam things, we're going to need to discuss it more to make it sound plausible enough to me. Also, while I think they're lore breaking, any opinions on omniblades and the like?
Gosh dam I feel like a talentless hack....."

"Oh definitely, guns should be the centerpiece of combat. It's just that melee isn't utterly senseless; it has its uses at the appropriate time and place. Like assassinations or point blank assaults.
As for omniblades, their Codex entry made them more tolerable. Like they're described as flash-forged, one-use blades created by the omnitool's matter replicator for emergencies—nothing solid like a Bowie knife, but basically a piece of glass to be used for the direst of situations. Such as when a husk is mauling your face.
The Electric Slash—which is the tech power Sword Beam—is a bit silly, but Biotic Slash—the biotic version—is more or less a stylized push ability. It fits the existing limits of biotic powers, since it's functionally the same as Throw or Shockwave, just dispersed over a slashing arc instead of a projectile.
Most of the more fantastic game elements are sensible enough when used in moderation, I think."

- Throw
- Singularity
- Barrier
- Warp
- Stasis
- Pull
- Shockwave (possibly ME 3 version. The ME 2 version is far more fun, but it seems more lore breaking)
- Slam
- Lash
- Smash
- Others as we decide
Biotic powers I'm on edge about returning: - Biotic Charge (in large part due the "phase through matter" stuff. Sure phasing through matter is in ME 1 at times (and I hate it), but I dunno. This and other things).
- Reave (dunno why. Maybe because it increases damage resistance. I dunno.)
- Warp Ammo (this is rather fantastical in ME 1 lore in my opinion. If it where to be IRP, it likely would stack with the loaded in ammo upgrades and take a lot of of the biotic mentally.)
- Lift Grenade (explain to me how biotic grenades work then maybe we can add it in)
- Annihilation Field (biotic fires? Really?)
- Dark Sphere (nothing really wrong. Just dunno if I want to dd it)
- Biotic Sphere (sounds good actually.)
- Flare (sounds really OP and exhausting)
- Nova (explain how it works and then we're good. Biotics don't always have barriers up, they have the normal hardsuit shields a lot of the time.)
- Dark Channel (seems to work. Just I don't know if we should return it.
- Biotic Slash (you guys explained it, but it's still iffy)
- Biotic Focus (depends on how much we decide a biotic can affect their own body with their powers)
- Biotic Orbs (if it's just direct throw, no hovering orbs, and no cooldown affecting, we need no discussing and it can stay)
- Biotic Protector (how does one deflect ALL damage and lock one's self down with their own biotics. Needs discussing)
- Biotic Jump (fan made)
Biotic abilities not returning: - Dominate (how do you control someone's mind with biotics? Nope)
- Poison Strike (regulate this to some other thing if you want. I have no idea how you can poison a biotic field.)
- Biotic teleporting (ME 1 doesn't have teleporters, at all. Nope)
- Etc.
Of course, feel free to argue my choices and decisions with all the abilities except the ME 1 ones (we have to have them). Feel free to discuss how the BW ME 2 and 3 abilities would would work in ME 1 lore friendliness or just sense in general. Also, feel free to add suggestions for new abilities."

In return, it'd likely strain the suit; increasing shield recharge times, making it harder for the user to operate it, mess with some life support, putting more strain on the user, etc. Of course, this should be discussed."

So do I just write a post where they are talking(arguing) with each other and have them start to go to where the task-force is meeting, or do I wait for you to post that someone found them and told them where to go after their into post?
Also I won't be here on Sunday."
