This is an archive of the old Main Thread (link: tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=14480731110A55107100&page=1#1 ) where we actually RP'd. Please put each old post in it's on own post and give the poster, the date, the last date it was edited, and the text in quotes. If you have a question about a post and how much I'll like it, post it on the Discussion Thread or PM me it. I'll add more here as I want. Have fun.) Start of the Story: It has been weeks after Saren's and Sovereign's attack on the Citadel. The attack brought a terrifying revelation to the Milky Way galaxy: the existence of horrifying, sadistic, genocidal, etc. super robots called Reapers. The Reapers launch a brutal campaign of genocide every 50,000 years or so from the heart of galactic civilization: The Citadel. Only a handful of individuals in the Citadel authority know about the Reaper threat: the Citadel Council, several high ranking military officials and politicians, several random people, and Commander Samuel Shepard and the crew of the SSV Normandy SR-1. If this wasn't bad enough, the Geth faction allied with Saren and Sovereign has started acting up even more and has a begun a brutal campaign against the rest of the galaxy. Some theorize this is a holy war on their part, in retaliation for the death of their god (Sovereign) and their prophet (Saren). No one expected Saren and Sovereign's Geth faction to be this big, brutal, organized, and so on. Complicating matter even further, multiple factions have arose from the wake of the chaos the attack on the Citadel caused. Some factions just want to research these new threats, combat them, preach the end times, etc. However, some factions are making gains to rebel, seize power, and/or get their concerns heard. In response to all this, the Citadel Council has formed a special and rather secret black ops task group dedicated to dealing with the resurgent Geth and the new factions. This group is filled with Spectres, researchers, scientists, engineers, military people, politicians, civilians, etc. The Council hopes this new task group can investigate and defeat the Geth and deal with the new factions. They also hope the task group in the long run can defeat the Reapers once and for all. The knowledge of the Reapers is publicly denied (but is not illegal), but is a true concern amongst the populace, including the higher ups like the Citadel Council. We begin with the Council summoning people, including Commander Shepard and their crew, to talk about the formation of this new task force..... General Zytex Gyrandros woke up in his quarters. Only a little while before the big day. The day that everyone we recruited will show up at the Council Chambers to make our new task force. The day we finally start doing something about all these problems...., Zytex thought to himself. The Council had chosen him to be their de facto leader of this new task force in no smart part due to Zytex's knowledge of events, his exploits, his reputation, his skills, and more. The Turian General got on his his formal wear, grabbed his pistol and omni tool, and walked through his suite. Zytex's suite was a high class suite on the Presidium suiting a General of his renown. It held lots of his medals, trophies, diplomas, and more. His suite however got ransacked by the Geth during the Citadel. It still wasn't fully fixed yet, especially since Zytex wanted funding for rebuilding to go to other places (it was still functional though). After Zytex was done with his starting day routines, he walked to the elevator to the lower levels of the Presidium and drove his car to the entrance of Council Chambers. When he got to the elevator of the Citadel, the C-Sec guards greeted him. "General Zytex, welcome. You can go right up.", one of the guards said. In Zytex's case, this was just a formality. However with the wake of the attack on the Citadel and the first meeting of the task force, C-Sec had beefed up its security. Zytex nodded at the C-Sec officer and went into the elevator to the Council Chambers. When he got to the top, he saw several high ranking military officers, business people, civilians, and politicians all mingling around talking. However, he saw one individual in particular that stood out to him. "Hello, Fana, getting ready for the big day?", Zytex asked the individual, his friend Fa'ana Seleya, also know as Fana. "Sure am, Zytex. We're going to have a big responsibility soon, if we didn't already. I'm dam well going to be ready for this starting day.", the Asari responded friendly. Fana was also in her formal wear. "Good to hear Fana. I'm ready as well. If we can do anything against the Geth, these factions, the Reapers, and anything else that plagues our galaxy; I'll be glad to carry it out.", Zytex said with formal friendliness. The Turian kept his formal tone but setched to a more formal and requesting tone,"Fana, if you don't mind, I'd like you to go to this area I have given you and take care of any problems that happen here. We're going to have some Quarians dock here as well and I'm going to need you to get them on safely and bring the one named Juun'Reyan here safely. I will be sending some of our other people to handle some of the other people we recruited. We're going to spread all over the Citadel. I'll stay here and direct it all.". Zytex looked expectantly at his friend. "Will do, Zytex. See you later, buddy.", Fana said as she waved goodbye and walked to the elevator. " Like this. Ask me any questions you might have. I will more heavily moderating the archives.

In what felt like several moments (but was probably even longer in the galactic standard travel time), a very small detachment of the Migrant Fleet consisting of 5 ships would arrive in Citadel Space. They were all frigate-class spacecraft, which was peculiar as most fleet detachments featured at least one reclaimed cruiser to lead them. These ships weren't coordinated for an assault however, but rather for a trade opportunity, as the quarians aboard these vessels were hoping to sell salvaged gear and resources in exchange for credits and anything useful for the Flotilla. Because they would most likely obtain standard-grade supplies that were still necessary for the fleet, almost nothing the quarians would obtain would suffice for most of them to accomplish their pilgrimage, as finding anything that would provide anything beyond short-term benefit was rare in any marketplace setting. They were especially unsure what they'd find within the Citadel, largely because they weren't fully sure whether they'd be able to sell their finds or be “escorted” off the city of a space station.
“This is the Torva, we've made it through the relay. All other vessels respond.” One of the Quarian Ship Captains by the name of Zhet'Torva requested sternly (having named his crew's salvaged vessel after himself). Almost immediately every other vessel would respond, indicating that everyone in the group prior to the mass relay jump was still accounted for. Within the refurbished frigate that originally belonged to the Turian Armada before Captain Torva's crew found it abandoned and adrift, a quarian salvager and systems repair specialist was on a mission of his own that differed from the rest of his group. They only agreed to help him out because Juun had successfully convinced both his crew and everyone else in the group that his quest would one day help the Quarian Race, and also because he told everyone that they would still be able to get their trading needs taken care of.
“Zytex this is Juun'Reyan nar Raezzor, we've arrived at Council Space. Do you have enough docking space for 5 frigate-class ships?” Junn inquired as his group patiently waited in orbit of the Citadel. If necessary, they would resort to loading one ship with the entire detachment's cargo and have the other four ships wait in orbit until the shore party of the group was ready to leave. "

"Citadel Control got Juun'Reyan's message before Zytex did,"This is Citadel Control. I don't know what you parasites want, but you'd better leave before we blast you or detain you entering restricted space. Leave, now. I'm fairly certain the General doesn't want to see you.", an operator said to the Quarians over comms.
Another operator saw the logs and it checked out that the Quarians where allowed to dock. She contacted Zytex discreetly to alert him that the Quarians where here.
"Thank you for telling me this," Zytex said to the operator that contacted him. He then contacted both Citadel Control in general and the Quarians,"This is General Zytex. Mr. Juun'Reyan and all his shipmates have been given permission by me directly to be able to dock and trade. The Council says it's fine and since I now answer directly to the Council, defying me is defying them. If you do not let the Quarians dock and trade, I will see you reprimanded for disobeying my orders. Mr. Juun, tell your crew to dock. We don't have enough space for 5 ships all at once, but we should have enough room to accommodate 2 at a time.". Zytex cut off comms to Citadel Control and was only on comms with the Quarians now,"Sorry about that. As I have stated, proceed to the given docking coordinates. I will have some of my people take care of you there. Also, I will have someone pick up Mr. Juun and take you to the Presidium. I recommend that the ship with Mr. Juun to be the first to dock so we can take care of him first. I hope we can avoid more trouble in the future. Good day.". Zytex then contacted his people, Citadel Defense, and the people at the docks to let the Quarians dock and trade. "Fana, Mr. Juun and his shipmates are docking, can you take Mr. Juun to the Presidium? Thank you.", Zytex asked his friend.
Fana gave an affirmative response, "You betcha Zytex. Going there now.". She then walked to the docking area the Quarians would be docking at. "

"“Parasites? Who do these bosh'tets think they are?!” Captain Zhet'Torva growled in annoyance after hearing the transmission. “Suddenly I don't feel so bad about how we lost our seat with the council long ago, arro—-” The Captain of another salvaged frigate named The Chiron said over the comms to the other ships in her group before being cut off by the captain of the Vandertrask, “Mind your language, there's no telling if they're picking up our comm chatter or not!” “Like them or not, we're here on business, which we'll actually be able to take care of with Juun as our boarding ticket over here.” Captain Torva told his group, to the annoyance of Juun who didn't want any more special attention to himself than he had already.
“Remember kid, you're here for a job, and only because we all agreed to it...or at least, most of us did. Just remember one thing while you're running around the galaxy chasing Geth and doing whatever it is you covert ops people do: Don't forget what you signed on for. The moment you find anything that might help us win our war against the Geth, you bring it back to the Migrant Fleet as soon as possible. Don't get so caught up in helping the galaxy that you forget about your own people!” Zhet'Torva requested authoritatively from Juun, who replied, “Don't worry, my goals and priorities are still the same they were since I was assigned here.”
“That's what I wanted to hear kid, now let's get docking before those elitist snubs change their minds about letting us land.” The Captain said before ordering all the ships in the group to transfer their cargo to the Frigates Torva and Vandertrask. The order would take about 15 Earthen minutes to carry out before it was complete, and the two loaded frigates would proceed to dock at their designated coordinates. "

"Three C-Sec officers; one a Turian, one a Human, and one a Salarian; where waiting around for the Quarians to dock. The Turian spoke,"I hate that we have to let those bucket heads dock. What has gotten into the General? I thought he had class.".
The Salarian responded,"General Zytex has always been relaxed when it came to matters of race. It's one of the reasons he's where he is. I'm not liking his orders, but they are orders.".
The Human responded to the Salarian,"Fuck orders. The moment one of those suited freaks comes dares to speak up, I'll beat them senseless. Heck, we should blow them out of the sky right now and do the galaxy a favor.".
The Salarian looked exasperated and responded,"Yeah, go ahead and do that. Watch yourself end up in jail or worse for defying the General. I know he's usually not that harsh, but I know he has a high interest in this group. And there's more problems with what you said, like the fact we don't have any control over the Citadel's defense guns. Quite frankly, all of what you suggested is idiotic.".
"Whatever, I'll do what I want to when they come. It's not like anyone would care barring Zytex. They're fucking Quarians, the biggest parasites in the galaxy after the Vorcha. And at least the Vorcha don't steel our resources and jobs, have high living requirements, and make a genocidal race of robots. I'll take a Vorcha over a Quarian any day.", the Human said with anger is his voice.
"Well enough of this, the bucket heads are docking. Prepare to screen them, but not overly aggressively. The almighty General has to have his fucking way.", the Turian said as she pointed at the Quarian ships. "

"As the Torva and the Vandertrask closed in on their destinations, the Torva's shore party consisting of Zhet'Torva, Juun'Reyan, and three other quarians stood near the airlock, ready for docking. Both ships would dock at about the same time in different parts of the same hangar bay, however the shore parties wouldn't emerge for a few moments. “Alright everyone stay alert! Even if there wasn't heightened security from the Citadel attack, I can already tell from their last warning that none of us will be getting a warm welcome. Everyone on deck: get the supplies ready, as for everyone heading out: Don't try anything stupid. We don't need to give them an excuse to imprison or kill us.” Zhet'Torva warned both the shore parties of his ship and the Vandertrask's over his omni-tool.
Once the airlocks of both ships finished depressurizing, the designated shore parties stepped out and officially set foot on the Citadel. "

The Turian spoke first,"Okay bucket heads, out of the ships so we can screen them. We won't do anything too rough with them. You're lucky General Zytex gave you those licenses, otherwise I'd have you arrested for disturbing the peace. Still, I have to see if you have any smuggled goods.". She gestured at the Quarians to move.
The Human spoke up. "Oh come on, you think the parasites could understand that, Garen? Let me handle this. GET. THE. FUCK. OFF. THE. CITADEL. YOU. SUITED. MONSTERS. OTHERWISE. I. WILL. KILL. OR. ARREST. YOU. IS. THIS. SLOW. ENOUGH?", he asked sarcastically with a bit of sadistic glee. "Of course it is. You're just stupid parasites that can't just fall over and die. Go take your killer robots to a another galaxy, but let them annihilate you first.", he said and then laughed.
"Ignore my colleague, he's not always professional when he needs to be.", the Salarian said. He turned to what he thought was the Captain. "I need a Juun'Reyan right here. General Zytex needs you. One of his people should be coming by shortly to pick you up.".
Garen got a bit annoyed by the lack of an immediate response,"He asked you which one of you bucket heads is June Ryan? Also, move out of the way so we can screen your vessels.". "

"Juun said nothing in response, briefly raising an arm before stepping forward. He said nothing in an effort to avoid saying the wrong thing and did his best not to attract more attention to him than what he already had. Some of the quarian shore party was angrily annoyed by the hostility, the human's in particular, and a few were heavily tempted to resort to violence, but they knew better...especially since out of all the ship captains in this detachment, Captain Torva was the most persuasive and commanding of all of them. When he said to do nothing stupid, he meant it, and everyone else knew better than to ignore their orders.
"I can assure you, everything we have here is legit and perfectly legal." Zhet'Torva said, trying his best to sound polite even though he was struggling to avoid sounding sarcastic and short-tempered. After a brief pause, he couldn't help but smirk, not only knowing (or at least thinking he knew) that nobody could see his facial expressions very well, but also because none of the C-Sec officers knew that they had already taken the safety precaution of breaking down all of their salvaged weapons into Omni-Gel. The Salarian spoke up to the Human and said,"Bob, you're embarrassing us and are defying direct orders. Stop this or we will be forced to write you up.". The Salarian looked more than annoyed.
Bob turned to the Salarian and with great anger,"Fuck you! I'll do what I want to this suited monstrosity.". He kicked Juun in the groin then punched him to the ground. "Get the fuck off this station, bucket boy. Otherwise, I'll kill you and all your friends.", he said with firm anger.
Garen spoke up to Bob's actions,"Okay, I despise the bucket heads, but that's going way too far, Bob. Stand down now. I don't want to get into trouble with Zytex or our superiors.".
"Fuck off Garen, I know what is right", he yelled. He was about to kick Juun again when he suddenly was stopped in mid motion and surrounded by a biotic field.
"Well now, insubordinate are we? Don't worry, you'll be stuck in Stasis for a bit. I'll be reporting all of you treating people this poorly. Especially you, Human.", Fana said as she walked up to the group. She took on a more friendly air and turned the Quarians,"Sorry about that. Name's Fa'ana Seleya. Fana for short.". She helped Juun to his feet. "General Zytex has asked me to escort you to the Presidium. Come with me.". She then turned to Garen and the Salarian. "You can screen them, but don't go hard on them. Understand? Otherwise we'll be having issues.", she said as she gestured for Juun to come with her and walked off.
Garen turned to the Salarian,"Well we have our orders. Screen the bucket heads, but don't go harsh on them. Weapons away.". The Salarain nodded as they went to the Quarians and put away their weapons. "

Juun sharply exhaled from the attack after falling to the ground, but he would recover moments later. The hostile action caused some of the quarians to quickly draw their concealed firearms that ranged from simple handguns to shotguns and submachine guns, prompting both Captain Torva and the captain of the Vandertrask to demand their subordinates to put their weapons down and stand at ease. Once the situation cleared up, Juun readily took Fana's offer to help him recover. He took a few moments to catch his breath before following her when gestured, walking with a noticeable, but temporary hobble. "

Especially now with the attack on the Citadel. Some people are angry with your race even more for creating the Geth. Anyways, have any questions? I will tell you that you will not be able to meet General Zytex until our big first meeting. He's too busy to see any specific members. He'll see me because we're old friends and others, but yeah. Fana responded to Juun,"You where recruited by General Zytex himself. The General is very relaxed when it comes to matters of race along with myself and we tend to not be nearly as racist as some of our colleagues. Plus the Council wanted to destroy racial barriers with this task force and wanted specialists everywhere and of every race to help us. The circumstances against us are daunting to say the last. These are all reasons you where recruited.". When she saw Juun stop and ask a question, she responded with a friendly tone,"The Council Chambers are quite a bit aways. They're around the pinnacle of a giant tower that sticks out of the Presidium, the place for the elite of the galaxy. The Council tower itself is in the center of the station. It's also the place...". She cut herself off and lowered her voice and talked to herself,"No, he doesn't need to know that. Not yet. Why am I even talking about it?". Fana raised her voice and gestured for Juun to continue walking with her,"Where we want to go right now is the Presidium. Right now we're going to my car and we'll drive the rest of the way there. You're not seeing the Council Chambers until we have our big meeting, sorry.". When they got to her car, she turned it on, got into the driver's seat, and gestured to for Juun to get in,"Come on in Juun. I think you'll like the Presidium. Feel free to ask me questions on the ride.".
(How are you liking this so far? It sucks that the others haven't joined us yet, but hopefully they'll come later. Also, my writing sucks. Also, BTW, Fana is referring in part to the Reapers at certain times. Juun doesn't really know anything about them I assume.)

(I say it's an interesting start. My idea for the C-Sec encounter would have been a bit...overplayed in comparison, so your writing is definitely better than mine in that respect. It might not mean anything, but one bit of advice I can offer is to not get discouraged this early in the RP, it's only the start. I'd imagine it'll get more fun over time, not that it isn't doing a good job already as I tend to look forward to the next post. Also, Juun has no idea about the Reapers, only the Geth. Also had no clue that there was a faction of Geth that worked with said Reapers.)
"How...ambitious." Juun said in response to Fana's first statement. He felt unconvinced at first, but then remembered that if it weren't true, he wouldn't be here right now. He noticed that the Asari stopped herself in her second sentence, but drew no attention to it as he assumed it had something to do with information that was off-limits to him. He looked around his surroundings, noticing how intricate and complex it was. It was certainly different than what environments he had been born and raised in, mainly cleaner and not so...unstable for lack of a better word.
"I might, I can already tell most of the Presidium won't like me though..." Juun replied as he stepped in the car in a tone that suggested he didn't really care about other people's opinions about him.
((Hopefully the others will join in later in this new week, and like I said it's going to be more fun as time progresses. Aside from a few typos, your writing's just fine.)

As soon as Juun got into the car, Fana closed the windows and drove the car away. Through the ride, she noticed Juun wasn't saying much and was keeping to himself. Fana kept driving through the buildings of the Wards arm she was on until she got to the hub for cars and the like to easily travel through the station. She entered the tunnel complex and kept driving through the tunnels until they left one that lead into the Presidium. Fana then spoke up,"Well here it is Juun, the Presidium, any thoughts? We'll be coming up to the temporary living quarters for task force members soon.". She then continued to drive to the living quarters.
(no one knows that there's any factions of the Geth barring the ones that helped Saren and Sovereign. Heck, everyone thinks the Geth are one faction.)

"Well it's...huge, clean, and expensive looking. It looks nice at least, and I'm guessing you live here?" Juun inquired, trying to sound more interested with moderate success as he looked out of the window for a bit, this time spending more time looking around instead of merely glancing periodically. "And you mean to tell me you live here?" He asked before commenting, "Must be nice not having to fix hull damages and avoid critical system failures every couple of hours."

"About living here, a while back that would not be the case. I don't live at the task force living quarters. Instead, Zytex got me a place around where he lives, which is in the Presidium area. We figured that since he wanted me in his task force, that we're friends, and that the officers of the task force should be on the Citadel. I used to live in an Asari military complex on Thessia before Zytex contacted me to join. I'm squared away. And yeah, I've heard about the crap you Quarians go through. I heard it throughout my years and through Zytex, who went over mission reports and talked to a Quarian named Tali'Zorah to get his information. Zytex really wanted her in the task force due to her experiences with the Geth when she was with Commander Shepard. You heard of her? Anyways, we're here. As he approached the temporary living quarters building, he couldn't help but think of the name of the other Quarian Fana mentioned. Tali by itself was a semi-common name among his people, but Tali'Zorah...he felt like he heard the name before even though he never met the person. "To answer your question, no I can't really say I've heard of this 'Tali', and I don't know who this Shepard is...I'm guessing it's a human?" Juun replied, showing just how little he knew of these people."

"Fana stopped to clarify some things with Juun. "Kid, I'm likely over 10 times your age at the least. I've seen things that you've never seen. I was there when your race still had it's embassy here. I've seen your people under the masks before, and they didn't really wear what you did back then. I saw the fallout of the Geth-Quarian War all those years back. And so on. I've seen everything notable about your race for a long time. I know what I'm dealing with. And Tali'Zorah is supposedly the daughter of one your Admirals and she helped this Commander Shepard during his time fighting the Geth. The Commander himself is a human and is known as the Savior of the Citadel. He and his crew where a major part in stopping the Geth and Saren during the Battle of the Citadel and helped prevent out extinction that day. Tali went her separate ways with Shepard after their time fighting the Geth and from I understand went back to the Migrant Fleet and completed her Pligrimage. Zytex and the Council where able to get both her and Shepard into our task force and you should see them during the meeting. Unfortunately, I don't know if Tali would get the recognition I think she deserves, but life's a bitch, ain't it? Anyways, let's get to the leaving quarters. We've wasted enough time.". She walked on and talked to the Hanar receptionist. "We got Juun'Reyan here, Odis. I'm going to show him to his quarters if you don't mind.".
Odis replied,"Fana does not have to get this one's permission to bring members of the task force in, but it appreciates the Asari's politeness.".
Fana then gestured at Juun,"Follow me, Juun. I'll show you to your living quarters.". She then walked off in that direction."

"((Sorry! I forgot to check for this to start and just found out while I was at work! I hope it's okay that I said that Shepard had seen pictures of Fana and Juun. If you want to make it so Shepard already met Fana, that's okay too.))
Shepard had made himself right at home in his new quarters. He moved around a lot, being military. So he didn't do a huge amount of decorating. That said, he had hung up a poster. The poster was for his favorite movie, Nekyia Corridor. It featured the lead actress, Zeari Garia. She had been his first celebrity crush, and he still wanted to meet her. Aside from that, most of his footprint had been left in the vanity. It had several forms of make up and other beauty products. It was with these that Shepard had prettied himself up that morning. He'd heard that he was going to meet with the other members of the task force.
Shepard finished dressing, and then headed out of the room. He figured he'd go kill some time while he waited for Fana. But as luck would have it, as he rounded a corner, he met them then and there.
"Oh, hey there!" Shepard said to the pair. "You must be Fana and Juun. D'you have a good trip?" Shepard looked like he did in the pictures: Very pretty. He looked more like he should be in a boy band than the military."
